Terms and Conditions for Cake Edit Bar

By completing your purchase and booking a "Cake Edit Bar" session, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms govern the professional on-site cake-making services provided by Cake Edit Bar.

 

1. Description of Service

Cake Edit Bar provides a live, on-site catering experience. We provide a professional baker, a mobile "bar" setup, and all necessary ingredients to create customizable cakes on-demand for your guests at your chosen location.

  • Duration: The standard service includes 2 hours service.

  • Scope: The service is limited to the guest count and package details confirmed during the checkout process.

 

2. Payment Terms

  • Full Payment at Checkout: To secure your event date and time, 100% of the total service fee must be paid at the time of online checkout.  

  • Confirmation: Your booking is not confirmed, and your date is not reserved, until payment is processed in full.

  • Additional Costs: Any on-site requests for extended service hours or additional servings beyond the original booking must be paid via a separate invoice on the day of the event.

 

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because we commit professional staff and perishables specifically to your time slot, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Within 72 Hours: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled service start time are strictly non-refundable. No credits or refunds will be issued for any reason, including guest cancellations or weather.

  • Outside of 72 Hours: Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event will receive a refund of the total amount, minus a 10% administrative and processing fee.

  • Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule must be made at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

 

4. Venue Requirements & Logistics

The Client is responsible for ensuring the following conditions are met at the chosen location:

  • Space: A flat, stable area of at least 1 meter x 2 meter.

  • Access: Our team requires access to the setup area at least 30 minutes before the service start time.

  • Environment: If weather conditions make it unsafe for food hygiene, and no indoor alternative is provided, service may be cancelled without a refund.

 

5. Health, Safety, and Allergens

  • Allergen Notice: Our "Cake Edit Bar" handles gluten, dairy, nuts, and eggs. While we follow strict food safety protocols, the open-air nature of a live bar means we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

  • Liability: It is the Client’s responsibility to inform guests of potential allergens. Cake Edit Bar is not liable for allergic reactions.

  • Safety: For the safety of your guests and our staff, guests must remain behind the service bar at all times.

 

6. Liability and Damages

  • Equipment: The Client is financially responsible for any damage to the Cake Edit Bar stand, equipment, or décor caused by the Client, their guests, or venue staff.

  • Force Majeure: Cake Edit Bar is not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather, or government-mandated closures. In such cases, a service credit may be offered at our discretion.

 

7. Professional Conduct

We pride ourselves on professional service. We reserve the right to immediately terminate service without a refund if our staff is subjected to a hostile environment, verbal abuse, or physical threats.

 

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE.
